Cancellation
Effective 2026-09-01
You have a statutory right to cancel, we tell you plainly how it can end, and we give you a fresh 14 days after every renewal even though nothing requires us to.
Cancelling a subscription at any time
Separately from the statutory right below, you can end a subscription whenever you like from the billing page. It takes the same two clicks that starting took. We will not ask you to telephone anyone, email anyone, or read three screens of offers on the way out. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing further is charged.
Your statutory right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the day the contract is concluded to cancel a subscription and receive a full refund, without giving a reason.
How that right can end early
Regulation 37 says the right to cancel is lost for digital services that have already been supplied, but only where all three of the following happened:
- you gave express prior consent to the service beginning during the 14-day period;
- you acknowledged that by doing so you would lose the right to cancel; and
- we gave you confirmation of both of those on a durable medium.
At checkout there are two separate tick-boxes, one for each of the first two. Neither is ticked in advance, they are separate boxes rather than one combined statement, and our server checks both again before an account is upgraded. Your order confirmation email repeats both statements back to you in full — that email is the durable-medium confirmation required by regulation 16.
If any of the three is missing, your 14-day right survives regardless of whether you have used the service. And if we had failed to tell you about the right to cancel at all, regulation 13 would extend the cancellation period to twelve months and fourteen days.
If you leave either box unticked, we simply do not start your subscription until the 14 days have passed, and you keep the right intact.
A fresh 14 days after every renewal
This part is voluntary. The subscription provisions of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 are expected to come into force in spring 2027 and are not currently in force. We have adopted them now, as a contractual promise:
- Before each renewal we send a standalone reminder email setting out what is about to be charged, when, and how to stop it. That email contains nothing else — it is never bundled into a marketing message.
- After each renewal takes effect, you get a fresh 14-day cooling-off period in which you can cancel and be refunded for that renewal, less a proportionate amount for the days you have used.
- Cancelling stays exactly as easy as subscribing, for as long as you hold the subscription.
Refunds
Where a cancellation gives you a refund, we make it using the same means of payment you used, within 14 days of being told you are cancelling, and we do not charge a fee for it. Where you asked us to start straight away and then cancel within the period, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to that point.
If something has gone wrong with the service rather than simply not suiting you, your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply instead and they are wider. Write to us and we will sort it out.
How to cancel
Use the billing page, or tell us in any clear statement — email is fine. You may use the model form below but you do not have to.
Model cancellation form
Schedule 3, Part B of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.
Send it to support@futureplatetk.shop, or to the registered office address published on Legal information. To meet the deadline it is enough for you to send your communication before the cancellation period has expired.
Questions about any of this go to support@futureplatetk.shop. Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 UK time. We answer within one business day.
